The Utility Surveyor will conduct detailed surveys to locate, map, and inspect underground utilities. The position involves using various techniques such as ground‑penetrating radar (GPR), electromagnetic induction, and GPS to gather accurate data, which is then analysed to create reports and maps for construction, planning, and maintenance purposes.
Area(s) of Responsibility
* Take a lead role in planning and executing utility survey projects.
* Responsible for ensuring that utility surveys are conducted safely, efficiently and correctly in compliance with survey scope documents provided.
* Ensuring a consistent standard of delivery is always supplied to clients.
* Promote a robust safety culture and ensure Texo Safety Management System (SMS) is utilised correctly.

Duties and Responsibilities
* Ensuring Texo DSI survey specifications are delivered in accordance with survey scope provided.
* Ensuring Texo DSI data management protocols are always adhered to.
* Provide guidance, leadership and expertise to Junior team members.
* Make recommendations for product quality and reliability.
* Assist and support the client proposal process at the bidding stage to maximise the company’s opportunity to win the work.
* Use a range of surveying techniques to detect and map underground utilities (e.g., gas, water, electricity, telecom).
* Gather accurate data on utility locations, depth, and condition by using specialized surveying equipment (e.g., electromagnetic locators, GPR).
* Conduct site visits to assess and collect field data for utility mapping, including visual inspections and measurement of infrastructure.
* Create detailed and accurate utility maps and reports, including updates to CAD drawings or GIS systems.
* Adhere to safety protocols and industry standards to ensure the safety of yourself and others during fieldwork.
