Our client is a London-based specialist in interior fit‑out, commercial refurbishment, and fire door installation and maintenance. The company operates with a skilled team of approximately 80 employees, delivering high-quality, professional, and environmentally conscious services. Due to an increasing workload and organic growth, the company is now looking to add a Project Manager to the team.
Role Overview As a Project Manager, you will oversee diverse interior refurbishment projects — from initial estimates and contract procurement through to on-site management and final delivery. You will collaborate with a team of seasoned professionals and play a key role in maintaining the company’s reputation for craftsmanship, reliability, and high client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Estimation
Lead cost estimations, budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation for interior fit‑out and refurbishment projects.
Site & Contract Management
Oversee site operations, manage contractors, ensure materials are delivered on time, and guarantee projects are executed according to contractual and safety standards.
Quality & Compliance
Maintain workmanship excellence, uphold safety protocols, and ensure compliance with quality standards for fire door installation and maintenance
Stakeholder Coordination
Communicate effectively with clients, suppliers, internal teams, inspectors, and subcontractors. Resolve any project-related issues promptly and professionally.
Leadership & Teamwork
Guide and mentor junior team members, promote best practices, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and sustainable operations.
Documentation & Reporting
Prepare periodic progress reports, manage project documentation, and maintain accurate records for internal and external audits.
Qualifications & Skills
Prior experience in managing commercial fit‑out and refurbishment projects.
Excellent organizational, time‑management, and multi‑tasking abilities.
Working knowledge of industry health & safety regulations and BM TRADA Q‑Mark standards.
Excellent communication skills; ability to liaise across multiple stakeholders.
Competent use of project management tools or software.
Leadership qualities with an eye for detail and quality workmanship.
