This is a pivotal role for FSUK at an exciting stage of our growth. The Quality and Curriculum Manager will:
· Oversee curriculum delivery, line-managing our tutors and assessors to drive excellence in teaching, learning and assessment.
· Lead on the quality framework across the organisation, ensuring compliance, internal quality assurance (IQA), external quality assurance (EQA), and Ofsted readiness.
· Manage the vocational and ESOL departments, ensuring provision is high-quality, inclusive, and aligned with learner and employer needs
· Act as a key part of the senior leadership team, contributing to operational strategy and organisational development.
This is both a hands-on and strategic role, ideal for an education professional who can wear multiple hats while maintaining high standards.
· Lead FSUK's quality framework across all funded and commercial provision.Oversee IQA, EQA and audit processes, ensuring exam board and awarding body compliance.
· Act as support the for nominee during inspections and lead preparation for inspection readiness.
· Review, implement, and update teaching, learning, and quality policies.
· Monitor, improve and manage quality assurance and improvement processes across all sites and programmes.
· Carry out a schedule of deep dives, internal inspections and quality monitoring across provision.
· Work with Senior Managers to maintain high quality provision, including the implementation of new standards/courses.
· Identify areas for improvement in the learner journey throughout FSUK.
· Plan and lead the Business Improvement and Self-Assessment day with key staff.
· Complete observations of teaching, learning and assessment and ensure continuous improvement in practice.
· Provide leadership and line management to tutors and assessors, supporting delivery across Functional Skills, ESOL, and vocational programmes.
· Manage the ESOL and vocational teaching departments, ensuring delivery meets learner needs, employer demand, and funding requirements.
· Drive curriculum design and innovation, embedding digital learning and inclusive approaches.
· Monitor learner progress and outcomes, ensuring interventions are timely and effective.
· Promote excellence in teaching, learning and assessment through staff CPD and coaching.
· Ensure compliance with ESFA, DfE, Local Authority and awarding body requirements.
· Lead preparation for external audits, quality visits and compliance reviews.
Work closely with the Data and Compliance team to ensure ILR, exams, registrations and certification processes are accurate and timely.
· Contribute to senior leadership discussions and support operational strategy across FSUK.
· Proven track record of leading quality and curriculum in FE, training, or adult education.
· Strong understanding of Functional Skills, ESOL and/or vocational qualifications.
Experience of managing staff and improving teaching, learning and assessment.
Up-to-date knowledge of Ofsted EIF and inspection readiness.
· Experience of IQA and compliance processes with awarding bodies.
Excellent communication, organisational and leadership skills.
· Complete Observations of Teaching, Learning and Assessment as required and ensure that the organisation improves teaching, learning and assessments.
· Requirements:
* A full teaching qualification. I.e. Cert Ed, C&G 7407, CTTLS, DTLLS
* Level 5 management qualification
* Degree level qualification or equivalent.
* Minimum level 2 literacy and numeracy qualifications
* Current full UK Drivers Licence (with full access to a vehicle)
* Knowledge and experience of internal and external assessment, standardisation and verification processes.
Desirable
* Experience acting as Ofsted nominee.
* Experience of leading Skills Bootcamps, AEB, or Multiply provision.
* Knowledge of ILR data and ESFA audit requirements.
* Teaching qualification (Cert Ed/PGCE) and IQA qualification.
