GENERAL DESCRIPTION
This is a grant funded position, and employment is contingent upon continued funding.
Performs advanced (senior-level) psychological and therapeutic rehabilitation work. Work involves coordinating therapeutic rehabilitation activities for clients, including screening and assessing, counseling, and reporting, within a program area and developing protocols for an assigned program in rehabilitation therapy services. Works under minimal supervision, with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* This position serves individuals and their families between the age of 15-30 in Bell, Coryell, Hamilton, Lampasas, & Milam Counties in a community setting.
* In the Primary Clinician capacity, provides emotional and practical support to the client and family, focuses on participant outreach, engagement, and retention; conducts needs assessments; provides psycho-education regarding first episode psychosis (FEP) and the goals of the First Episode Psychosis program; provides recovery coaching sessions that focus on skill building; engages in safety planning and wellness management planning with participants; and connects participants and families with the services and supports they need. This position will also provide therapy using Cognitive-Behavioral approaches.
* Conducts psychotherapy sessions in an individual, family, and group setting.
* Responsible for processing all referrals received within the designated timeframe and keeping the referral tracker updated.
* Conducts the program eligibility screening, mental health evaluation, and the intake process. This might include interviewing clients, their families, schools, team prescriber, and health and social welfare institutions to obtain client information necessary to perform diagnostic or other required assessments to ensure compliance with all agency, state and federal mandates and ensure maintenance of funding.
* Might provide clinical support to front line staff.
* Will carry a small caseload. Responsible for updating PCRPs, ANSA/CANS and any other required documentation for individuals on assigned caseload.
* Might facilitate weekly team meetings in the absence of the Program Manager.
* Attends agency’s monthly LPHA consultation calls.
* Will assume some of the tasks associated with outreach and recruitment, as needed.
* Might work a variable schedule, as needed, to meet the needs of the team and clients.
* Liaisons with prescriber and nursing staff to ensure continuity of care.
* Identifies problem areas, service gaps and other issues that are barriers to services for clients.
* Assists with (intra) and (inter) agency service coordination and referral concerns.
* Is responsible for all data collection and reporting for the Early Psychosis Intervention Network (EPINET) grant.
* Meets all minimum service requirements according to Center requirements, Resilience Disease Management Design and Texas Administrative Codes.
* Documents case records according to Center requirements, Resilience Disease Management Design and Texas Administrative Codes and will maintain complete and accurate consumer medical records and keep all such information confidential.
* Participates in quarterly training and time studies for Medicaid Administrative Claiming (MAC).

* Demonstrate high ethical standards, trustworthiness, and personal integrity. Regular attendance, dependability, and promptness are required for the 8-5 workday or agreed upon hours 100% of the time, to ensure consistency and completeness of program’s processes.
* Professional Development – Successfully complete training required to maintain skill competency and cross training to ensure consistency across program procedures. Complete continuing education as required by professional standards and the Center.
* Frequent daily driving within the catchment area is required.
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience/Education/Licensing/Certification
* Experience in a field relating to the agency program.
* Graduation from an accredited Masters Level or Doctoral program with a degree in the mental health field.
* Clinical licensure as an LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or Licensed Psychologist. Must have mental health and/or substance abuse experience providing services including diagnostic evaluations, outpatient treatment, crisis intervention, and case management to adults or children in a community setting.
* Candidate must be licensed in the state of Texas.

* Ability to effectively handle potentially aggressive behavior in a positive manner.
