Position: Electrical Engineer Location: Doncaster Hours: 12-hour shifts, 4 on / 4 off – Days & Nights Contract: Full-time, permanent The Opportunity A leading renewable energy and recycling facility in Doncaster is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join its engineering team. This is a hands-on maintenance role, working with modern process and plant equipment on a 4 on / 4 off rotating days and nights shift pattern. Key Responsibilities Carry out electrical maintenance, inspection, and repair of plant equipment. Undertake planned preventative maintenance across motors, drives, panels, sensors, and control systems. Respond quickly to breakdowns and SCADA alarms, fault-finding and restoring operations safely. Support the site's electrical compliance requirements in line with current legislation. Diagnose and repair faults with electrical equipment, minimising downtime. Ensure accurate completion of maintenance logs, job sheets, and compliance records. Supervise and support external contractors when required. Contribute to continuous improvement projects and support audits across the site. What We're Looking For Apprentice-trained or NVQ Level 3 (or higher) in Electrical Engineering. 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (desirable). Experience working with motors, drives, PLCs, control systems, and plant machinery. Proven ability to fault-find quickly under pressure in a fast-paced production or industrial environment. Strong focus on safety and compliance. Flexible and reliable, with the ability to work both days and nights on a rotating shift.
