Overview
Estates Manager role at NHS Tayside – a permanent opportunity based in the Property Department, Estates Division, Ninewells Hospital, Dundee. The post has senior management responsibilities across NHS Tayside to assist the Head of Estates in meeting strategic and, where required, operational objectives.

The post holder is responsible for ensuring compliance of the service within statutory, mandatory, safety, environmental, quality standards, policies and procedures. Design, project manage and implement all delegated projects and tasks. Deputise for the Head of Estates as required. The post holder may be required to work at any NHS Tayside Property as necessary. The post holder is responsible for the revenue and capital budgets allocated under their delegated authority and all Estates staff under their remit. Participation in an on-call rota and the ability to travel between NHS sites are required.

Responsibilities
* Design, Project Manage and implement all delegated projects and tasks.
* Ensure compliance with statutory, mandatory, safety, environmental and quality standards, policies and procedures.
* Deputise for the Head of Estates as required.
* The post holder may be required to work at any NHS Tayside Property as necessary.
* Maintain all plant, equipment, Estates Division transport and grounds at NHS Tayside Hospital and health care sites in a satisfactory, operational condition through a cost-effective maintenance service and to agreed quality, statutory, safety and environmental performance standards. Maintain the highest standard of patient and staff environment and service from available resources.
* Responsible for the revenue and capital budgets allocated under their delegated authority and all Estates staff under their remit.
* Participation in an on-call rota and the ability to travel between NHS sites.
* Must achieve the mandatory Inductions standards for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland and comply with the Code of Conduct throughout employment.
