The Role We are looking to engage with Freelance SIA Tutors, provisionally for 3-6 months, to hold cohorts in Greater Manchester. Please note: We are currently only recruiting for qualified trainers. If you do not have the required qualifications, we will be unable to take you further at this stage. You must have all required certificates and CPD up to date. As an SIA Tutor at Realise, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of security professionals. You will be responsible for delivering comprehensive training courses that align with the Security Industry Authority (SIA) standards. Your expertise and guidance will equip our learners with the knowledge and skills required to excel in the security industry. Whilst we can’t promise that every day will be the same, your key responsibilities are likely to be: - Plan and deliver SIA-approved training courses to a cohort of 12 learners. - Provide individualised support and guidance to learners, helping them achieve their learning objectives. - Conduct assessments and evaluations to measure learner progress. - Keep up to date with changes in SIA regulations and industry best practices. - Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment. - Maintain accurate records of learner attendance, performance, and assessment results. - Collaborate with colleagues to continuously improve training programmes. - Ensure a safe and respectful learning environment. NB. Our cohorts are 3 weeks of delivery, followed by 1 week of admin and preparing for the next cohort, working 9am-5pm. You must be able to commit to a full 4 weeks of delivery. The role is available on a fixed-term contract or self-employed basis. About You - Hold a valid SIA Licence - desirable - Existing Trainers must spend at least 40 hours every year to ensure your knowledge and skills are up to date. - For Trainers who are newly qualified, you must have at least 2 years’ in front line operational experience within the last 5 years - Door Supervisor experience and a strong knowledge of SIA regulations and security industry standards - First Aid, Conflict Management and Physical Intervention - all Level 3 qualifications essential - Event Safety Steward Level 2 - highly advantageous - Teaching and assessing qualifications - Patient, approachable, and adaptable teaching style - A commitment to upholding high standards of professionalism and ethics - Have a minimum of GCSE Grade 4/C for Maths and English or equivalent - Experience, knowledge and understanding of safeguarding practices and legislation About Us - Realise helps more than 18,000 learners every year to achieve their goals.
