About the Role
We’re looking for a driven Area Sales Manager to join our Equipment Solutions team. This is a high-impact role focused on building strong customer relationships and delivering tailored equipment solutions through both sales and hire. You’ll play a key role in driving sustainable growth, maximising machine sales, and expanding our customer base while delivering a best-in-class customer experience.
Responsibilities
Sales & Strategy
* Deliver strong sales performance through effective CRM usage, forecasting, and territory planning
* Manage and achieve sales targets across your region
* Enhance go-to-market strategies to improve profitability
* Drive growth in machine population
Customer & Supplier Management
* Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, OEM suppliers, and key stakeholders
* Promote Global Machinery Solutions’ full product offering
* Ensure alignment with approved suppliers and ISO processes
Sales Execution
* Manage deals end-to-end, ensuring accuracy across: PDI, delivery, installation, and warranty
* Maintain accurate order records and stock alignment
* Deliver timely and efficient sales fulfilment
Business Development
* Conduct product demos (target 25% conversion rate)
* Identify and win new business opportunities
* Attend industry events and exhibitions
* Organise and support customer factory visits
* Grow both equipment sales and aftermarket contracts
Performance & Reporting
* Provide weekly updates on performance, forecasts, and pipeline activity
* Track win/loss insights and order progress
* Ensure CRM accuracy and reliable forecasting
Collaboration
* Partner closely with Marketing, Aftersales, and Sales Support teams
* Support campaign planning, delivery coordination, and cost control
Compliance & Safety
* Adhere to all legal, ISO, and Health & Safety requirements
* Maintain high standards of operational compliance

What We’re Looking For
Skills & Experience
* 2+ years’ experience in a sales role (ideally within machinery, construction, or equipment)
* Strong negotiation and influencing skills
* Commercial awareness and analytical mindset
* Ability to perform under pressure in a target-driven environment
* Understanding of OEM relationships and technical products
* Business qualification or formal sales training (desirable)
