Key Responsibilities
Assist the Executive Headteacher to lead, motivate and inspire pupils, staff, parents and the wider community, ensuring confidence and success for each pupil.
Establish and implement the vision and direction for the school in line with the Epworth Education Trust’s ethos and values.
Demonstrate inspirational leadership and creativity to embed the Trust’s values among pupils and staff.
Foster a safe and supportive environment, promote restorative approaches and maintain a calm, solution‑focused leadership style.
Build trusting, transparent relationships with children, staff, parents and governors.
Drive continuous improvement through collaboration with staff and the wider trust.
Manage competing priorities while upholding exceptionally high standards of teaching, learning and pastoral care.
Qualifications and Experience
Proven experience as a senior school leader or Head of School.
Passionate about inclusivity, ensuring all children, including those with SEND, feel valued and supported.
Strong commitment to high aspirations for every child with high standards of teaching, learning and pastoral care.
Compassionate and nurturing, fostering a safe, supportive environment where children thrive emotionally and academically.
Advocate for restorative approaches, maintaining a calm and solution‑focused leadership style.
Visible, approachable, and an active listener, building trusting relationships with all stakeholders.
Inspirational and influential, leading by example with integrity, resilience and a deep belief in the power of education.
Collaborative team player, working effectively with staff and the wider trust to drive continuous improvement.
Organised and adaptable, demonstrating excellent interpersonal and communication skills while managing competing priorities.
Supportive of the school’s Christian ethos, embedding its values into daily life while promoting inclusivity.
