Senior IT Technical Engineer (Network Engineer) Meraki/Networking/Security
Location: Flimby, Cumbria (Onsite 4 Days a Week)
Salary: £50,000 - £65,000 + Bonus + Excellent Benefits + Relocation Package
Schedule: 4-Day Working Week

A fantastic opportunity has opened for a Senior IT Technical Engineer to join a dynamic, manufacturing environment based in Flimby, Cumbria. This is a highly visible and hands-on role supporting local infrastructure while also collaborating on global projects, including planned travel across Europe.
You'll be the go-to IT expert onsite, managing networks, systems, and security while ensuring seamless day-to-day operations. This role blends strong technical capability with stakeholder engagement, so it's perfect for someone who thrives in both areas.
What You'll Be Doing:
* Maintain and support all network hardware and IT equipment onsite
* Manage upgrades, backups, and documentation
* Act as the primary IT contact for local manufacturing teams
* Support and deliver IT projects within the UK and Europe
* Collaborate with global IT teams using agile methodologies
* Troubleshoot network and infrastructure issues (onsite and remote)
* Drive continual improvement in IT systems and security posture
What You'll Need:
Strong skills in Cisco Meraki, Networking, and Security
Experience with Cisco Catalyst, Palo Alto Firewalls, Aruba Wireless, and Cloud technologies
A full UK driving license and valid passport
Hands-on experience with troubleshooting complex enterprise networks
Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate tech for non-tech stakeholders
A willingness to relocate to Flimby (relocation package included)
Nice to Have:
* CCNA certification
* Knowledge of virtualisation, Azure Backup, Veeam, or Zerto
* Background in manufacturing environments or working in Agile teams
