Primary Role
As part of our continuing expansion, we have the opportunity for an enthusiastic Power and Electrical Project Manager to join our team. The successful applicant will have hands on experience working in the live events sector, be at home in a fast paced environment and thrive under pressure. Key Roles & Responsibilities
Advancing electrical requirements of arena scale production/s.
Quoting (as required) Venue Power requirements within a determined timeframe, providing accurate solutions including, but not limited to, Labour, Equipment, Generators etc.
Managing P&L of quoted projects, through initial stages, revisions and post event reconciliation.
Delegation of tasks towards onsite team (Full time and/or Freelance) as well as completing lead electrician tasks individually.
Providing excellent Venue Team collaboration and service level working closely with the Venue Team on plans/meetings/pre production/engaging with incoming production companies/events.
Providing feedback, summaries, and ongoing reports to the Venue client on a regular cadence.
Assist with keeping test and inspection records up to date using the company's stock management software.
Provide support and technical assistance to the Projects Team including the preparation of power distribution plans and risk assessments.
Onsite temporary installation and testing of power distribution systems (varied locations).
Representing Sterling Event Group in a positive and customer focussed way at all times, exceeding expectations in delivery, relationship management and execution of role.

Qualifications And Key Attributes Of The Candidate
High self-motivation, with the ability to lead by example and work as part of a team.
Experience in the Live events industry
BS7671 18th Edition / NVQ Level 3
BS7909 qualification
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Meticulous planning and attention to detail.
Ability to plan and prioritise multiple jobs, on a daily basis.
Flexibility and a can do, customer focused attitude.
Strong IT skills.
Counter Balance Fork Lift Licence (preferred but not essential – training will be provided)
First Aid (preferred but not essential – training will be provided)
Knowledge of Rigging (preferred but not essential – training will be provided)
Vectorworks/CAD experience (preferred but not essential – training will be provided)
Amtech – ProDesign software experience (preferred but not essential – training will be provided)
Specifics of the Role
Location will be split between Arena site, Sterling Event Group HQ and other sites as necessary.
Travel will be required.
Driving license is a must.

Working Hours
If you have the experience we are looking for then you will already know that this is not a 9 'til 5 job. Due to the nature of our industry, we require our employees to have a flexible approach to their working hours. This includes working weekends and bank holidays as necessary (fair and reasonable rest and time off will be managed closely by the line manager).
Holidays
33 days per year
After 3 years continuous service you will receive your birthday off (day off can be taken within 7 days of your birthday)
After 5 years continuous service you will receive a further day's holiday
