Overview
Independent registered charity representing and supporting students across sister organisations in the Northwest is seeking an interim Finance Director. The role involves working in a key position within a transition to a shared services environment, overseeing central finance operations and supporting the COO with management accounts, VAT, budgeting, forecasting and balance sheet management.
Responsibilities
Oversee the central finance function, including production of management accounts, VAT filings, budgeting and forecasting, and balance sheet management. Liaise with external auditors to ensure compliance with tight timelines. Provide board-level reporting and collaborate with executive leadership teams.
Qualifications
Fully qualified accountant (CIPFA/ACA/CIMA/ACCA). Experience leading small finance teams and managing management accounts, balance sheet duties, budgeting, forecasting and VAT. Proven ability to work in an SME environment and collaborate with senior leadership.
