Job Purpose
The post holder will provide an effective and efficient shopping and sundry provision service to the prisoner population within strict deadlines. Responsibilities include accurately collating and processing individual orders via the bag and tag operation, delivering orders within the prison, and performing manual handling duties in a warehouse-type environment.
Responsibilities
* Contribute to the delivery of an effective internal grocery/shopping service by picking, scanning, and packing individual orders.
* Maintain an effective stock management system through weekly/monthly physical stock checks, recording stock reports, and investigating discrepancies.
* Process prisoner orders accurately using the computerised till system (EPOS), ensuring compliance with SPS policies and audit processes.
* Deliver goods, including driving the Luton Van, loading, and offloading to prisoner accommodation areas.
* Receive and check weekly Canteen stock deliveries.
* Support the Finance and Admin department by processing weekly prisoner wages and other tasks as directed by the First Line Manager to meet deadlines.
