Are you passionate about supporting people and making a difference in their daily lives?
We are recruiting a compassionate and reliable Support Worker to provide personalised support to adults with learning disabilities, helping them live independently and safely within their own homes and local communities.
Location: Stockport
Rate: £14.82 per hour
Hours: 37 hours per week
Rota: 7-day rolling rota with 2 days off
Shift Times: Between 8:30am–8:00pm
Driving: Essential
Day-to-day tasks:
* Provide physical, practical and emotional support in daily living and personal care
* Follow person-centred plans to help people achieve their goals, ambitions and independence
* Support individuals to build confidence, self-esteem and meaningful community involvement
* Assist with daily tasks including cooking, cleaning, budgeting, medication and personal hygiene
* Encourage people to make informed choices and express their individuality
* Maintain accurate records, financial logs and medication documentation
* Work safely and independently during lone-working periods
* Support individuals with challenging behaviour using consistent, caring approaches
* Liaise with families, health professionals and other stakeholders
* Ensure properties are safe, clean and compliant with health and safety checks
What We’re Looking For
* Experience xsngvjr in care, support work or learning disabilities (preferred but not essential)
* Ability to work confidently alone and follow support plans
* Strong communication and relationship-building skills
* A caring, respectful and person-centred approach
* Full driving licence
* Ability to work across a 7-day rota including weekends
