About The Role
Join our team as an Employability and Skills Tutor – Functional Skills & ESOL. Are you passionate about helping people unlock their potential? We’re looking for a dynamic Employability and Skills Tutor to deliver high‑quality teaching and support across primarily Functional Skills English, ESOL programmes and Employability.
What You’ll Do
* Inspire and engage learners in classroom, online, and workplace settings.
* Deliver tailored lessons that build confidence with practical and functional skills for employment.
* Support learners through enrolment, initial assessment, and progress reviews.
* Use innovative teaching methods and digital tools to create an outstanding learning experience.
* Work closely with employers and stakeholders to help learners progress into work or further education.
* Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with quality standards.
About The Person
* Qualified teacher/trainer (Level 3 or above) certificate with experience in Functional Skills and ESOL.
* Strong communication and organisational skills.
* Ability to motivate and support learners from diverse backgrounds.
* A proactive approach to continuous professional development.
* Commitment to safeguarding, equality, and high‑quality education.
* All posts are subject to an Enhanced Disclosure Clearance through the DBS, references that cover the last two years of employment and online screening. Other checks may also be required.
* Please note that all employees must have Literacy and Numeracy to at least Level 2.
