Business Support Officer – Early Engagement, Intervention and Inclusion Service
We are seeking a proactive and highly organised Business Support Officer to join our Early Engagement, Intervention and Inclusion service, supporting specialist teaching teams to deliver high‑quality services that enable children and young people to achieve their full potential.
In this hybrid role you will coordinate the specialist training offer, manage procurement processes, purchase orders, invoicing and supplier payments, while maintaining accurate financial and administrative systems. You will also maintain databases, produce reports, organise meetings, take minutes, coordinate events and support service improvement through system development and ICT solutions.
Responsibilities
* Coordinate specialist training offer and manage procurement processes.
* Process purchase orders, invoicing and supplier payments.
* Maintain accurate databases and produce performance and planning reports.
* Support financial processes and budget monitoring activities.
* Coordinate meetings, training events and workshops, including minute taking.
* Liaise with internal teams and external partners to ensure effective service delivery.
* Contribute to service development, process improvements and system enhancements.
Qualifications
* GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above).
* Relevant NVQ Level 3 qualification (or equivalent).
* Strong administrative experience in a busy, customer‑focused environment.
* Excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency with ICT systems, databases, spreadsheets and digital platforms.
* Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines with accuracy and attention to detail.
* Proactive, adaptable and committed to continuous improvement.
Grade: G5 (£25,989 - £28,142)
Location: Hybrid working across Cheshire West and Chester, including home, council offices and partner sites.
