We are currently recruiting for a Residential Support Worker on a temp-to-perm basis for a well-established therapeutic children’s home in Chatham, Kent.
This role offers the opportunity to work through the agency for 12 weeks, before moving onto a permanent contract with the service, allowing both you and the provider to ensure the role is the right long-term fit.
About the Service

8-bedded therapeutic children’s home
*
Supports children aged 5–10 years with EBD and complex trauma
*
Children typically remain in placement for 2–3 years, allowing for consistent, meaningful care
The Role
*
40 hours per week
*
2 long day shifts and 3 short day shifts per week
*
Supporting children with emotional and behavioural needs in a therapeutic setting
*
Working closely with a stable and supportive team
*
Maintaining consistency, structure and positive routines

Reliable, resilient and committed individuals

Must be a driver with full UK licence
*
Open to candidates with experience in children’s or adult services
Pay & Benefits
*
£12.50 per hour while working through the agency

Permanent salary:
*
£26,000 unqualified
*
£29,000 qualified
*
Fully funded Level 3 Children & Young People qualification
*
Immediate enrolment onto NAPPI Level 3 (Challenging Behaviour) training
*
Ongoing investment in staff development, including further education and apprenticeships
