Senior Qualified Social Worker
Children In Care
Location: South Yorkshire
Pay rate: £35 per hour
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Qualified Social Worker to join our dedicated Children In Care Team. In this role, you will work in a busy, supportive environment assessing and working with children and families, intervening early to provide support. Your responsibilities include carrying out Section 47 Enquiries, progressing cases to Initial Child Protection Conferences, and working with children in need while planning for permanence from day one. You will conduct assessments directly with children and their families, collaborating with agencies such as the police and health services to achieve positive, sustainable outcomes.
The service maintains a strong link with our Integrated Prevention and Earliest Help colleagues to promote community support when social care intervention is no longer required.
Working in accordance with social care legislation and local government requirements, you will support the delivery of person-centered, safe, and effective social care services. Using your professional expertise, you will make assessments and decisions regarding appropriate interventions. Your significant Social Work experience and excellent communication skills will enable you to establish and maintain relationships with service users and agencies to meet their needs.

Ideal candidate will be:
* Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
* Experienced in working with children and families, including vulnerable groups.
* Creative, flexible, and forward-thinking.
* Knowledgeable of Child Protection legislation and issues.
* Committed to continuous improvement for better outcomes.
* Skilled in mediation and negotiation.
* Able to build meaningful relationships with children and families.
* Dedicated to providing high-quality services.
* Experienced in multi-disciplinary, interagency work.
* 4+ years qualified.
In this role, you will:
* Assess risks, protection needs, and social care requirements.
* Manage an agreed caseload.
* Use specialist communication skills to achieve outcomes.
* Create individual care plans promoting dignity and empowerment.
* Support and advise unqualified staff and students.
