About the role Are you an experienced Waste Operative looking for a hands-on role where your work makes a visible difference every day? At Bromford, we're looking for a dedicated and hardworking individual with proven experience in waste management and environmental services to help us keep our neighbourhoods clean, safe and welcoming. This role will primarily focus on waste and environmental duties, so it is essential that you have previous experience working as a Waste Operative. Key Responsibilities: Clearing bulk waste, fly-tipping and abandoned items safely and efficiently. Emptying and removing waste from communal areas and housing blocks. Clearing empty properties and gardens, preparing them for new residents. Sorting and disposing of waste correctly, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations. Driving a van or tipper truck (up to 3.5 tonnes) to transport waste to licensed tips and recycling facilities. Maintaining high standards of cleanliness across our housing communities. You'll be working outdoors in a physically demanding role, so resilience, reliability and a strong work ethic are key. A full UK driving licence is essential. While grounds maintenance duties such as grass cutting and hedge trimming may form part of the role in the future, the initial and primary focus will be on waste clearance and environmental services.
