Overview
Goods In Stock Control Operative. Location: Wrexham LL13. Salary: up to £14.39-£21.59 per hour, with Early start allowance of £4.27 for 4am starts per shift. Shift pattern: 4 on 4 off day shift 04:00-16:00. The client is a leading manufacturer of chilled foods in the UK; the Wrexham site supports an open communication culture and a positive work environment. The site handles high-volume production (approximately 2 million ready meals per week) and has a workforce with a strong length-of-service profile.
Contract type: Ongoing, with Job&Talent as the employment agency partner.
Responsibilities
* Ensure accurate information for reference stock receipts, holdings and movements to Accounts and Goods In Departments.
* Ensure all receipts, allocations and dispatches are correctly transacted on System 21; generate PI checks and investigate discrepancies.
* Support Warehouse Administrator by ensuring daily tasks are completed; maintain stock rotation adherence.
* Provide and track statistical analysis related to the Goods In operation (e.g., costs, pallet control, transactions, pick history, PI counts); monitor from receipt of delivery through to transfer to production with minimal time loss in the QA release process.
* Forge strong relationships with replenishment, production and QA teams to identify more efficient ways of working and resolve issues.
* Take ownership of stock from receipt to production transfer, ensuring timely QA release and high intake accuracy.
Qualifications
* Sound academic background with good communication and interpersonal skills.
* Basic computer literacy with familiarity of systems (System 21; Rowan Foods Systems) and ability to work with Excel, email, and data entry.
* Experience in a fast-moving chilled environment; ability to adapt to rapidly changing dynamics and tight deadlines.
* Experience in understanding and delivering KPIs; ability to implement and adhere to procedures.
* Blended skill set: accuracy (strive for 100% intake accuracy) and flexibility to meet business needs.
