Account Manager, Business Development EMEA
Position Overview
The Account Manager, Business Development EMEA is responsible for improving sales data quality, enhancing the unmanaged client Encore journey, and developing a pipeline of prospect GSO accounts. In collaboration with Venue Sales & Regional Sales Managers this role drives innovation in our sales approach to unmanaged (Venue Event) customers and improves demand generation and win rate. The role provides a central EMEA resource focused on developing and deploying sales best practices to support and guide our sales functions, as well as operations and production teams involved in sales.
This role challenges the status quo by engaging sales, marketing, and operations leadership through analysis of sales performance insights. The position reports to the Senior Director of Strategic Sales & Growth EMEA.
Key Job Responsibilities
* Sales Content Development
Maintain and optimise content to improve sales quality and effectiveness. Develop enhanced intel on Encore clients to support marketing and improve communications. Maintain and optimise CRM data.
* Demand Generation (HIVE)
Create solution marketing propositions and, together with the Senior Director of Strategic Sales & Growth, develop and execute sales development initiatives, new products and services, customer acquisition initiatives, demand generation and sales blitzes.
* Customer Experience
Guide the development and innovation of the company’s adopted sales standards for proposals, presentations, sales processes, demos, CRM, and sales best practices to improve sales conversion and the customer experience. Work cross-functionally to enhance creative standards and ensure the best possible customer experience across the organisation. Oversee remote account management of prospect customers, managing the journey from single-event client to GSO Account.
* CRM & Sales Performance Insights
Own the Sales CRM business process. Develop and manage SOPs for the CRM system and define requirements for CRM capabilities. Manage CRM admin, build sales dashboards and reporting, and implement data hygiene processes to maintain accurate data and ensure user compliance.
Job Qualifications
* Study of business administration, communication sciences, or equivalent experience required.
* 5+ years of experience in sales, business development, proposal development, or proposal management; proven track record in producing customer-facing documents within a complex business environment.
* 2+ years of leadership or management experience.
* Prior sales experience in event technology and hospitality preferred.
* Knowledge of sales processes and ability to read and interpret financial reports and records.
* Technical aptitude, computer proficiency, and CRM knowledge; MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) preferred.
* Experience in managing direct reports and working in a team environment.
* Strong strategic and tactical problem-solving skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to work under pressure with multiple deadlines.
* Ability to build relationships and collaborate across the organisation.
