Treasurer
Salary: Unpaid voluntary role
Location: Home Working /Treboeth Community Centre ( Llangyfelach Road, Treboeth, Swansea, SA5 9EL)
Hours: Approx. 2–3 hours per month, with a little more around year‑end.
Treboeth Community Centre are looking for a reliable individual to take over as their treasurer. Any relevant experience would be an advantage but training will be given.
Role Purpose:
To oversee the financial management of the group, ensure accuracy and transparency, and support the committee in financial decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date financial records
2. Monitor income and expenditure
3. Prepare simple financial reports for committee meetings
4. Manage the group’s bank account, payments, and receipts
5. Create annual budgets with the committee
6. Prepare end‑of‑year accounts
7. Ensure financial procedures and policies are followed
Skills & Qualities Needed:
8. Basic financial literacy or experience handling money
9. Confidence using spreadsheets or simple bookkeeping tools
10. Honesty and reliability
11. Good attention to detail
12. Ability to explain finances clearly
Training & Support:
13. Full handover of accounts and processes
14. Templates for financial reports
15. Optional finance training through local voluntary services
