The Geoscience services within RSK Group, is one of the UK and Ireland’s largest geotechnical, contaminated land and hydrogeological consultancies with ambitious plans for growth. The company has a wide portfolio of clients in a number of sectors including marine, industry, construction, energy and property. The company now has an exciting opportunity for an Associate Director to join the team in either Cork / Dublin (Hybrid). Working alongside an experienced team you will get involved with a vast array of projects ranging from large scale brownfield site development, landfill investigations, contaminated site investigations, renewable energy projects and hydrogeology specific projects including long term monitoring and modelling projects. Key Responsibilities: Providing technical leadership, technical input, guidance and review of Contaminated Land and Hydrogeology related projects Responsible for team budgetary performance and financial reporting Effective management of large-scale projects from inception to completion including resource and budget management, technical oversight and client communications. Reviewing technical reports including PSA, GQRA and DQRA. Develop and improve existing service offerings within Geosciences and look to develop new service offerings across the team. Drive recruitment to facilitate growth within existing and potentially new service offerings. Provide mentorship to junior staff members to assist them in their development Establish and develop strong working relationships with new and existing clients Manage tender and framework opportunities as part of a multidisciplinary RSK team. Person Specification: BSc degree level qualified in Geology or a related Environmental subject MSc in Geology, Hydrogeology or Contaminated Land related subject preferable but not essential A minimum of 10 years’ experience in relevant position. Ideally chartered with a relevant professional body or be willing to work towards chartership. Experienced in report review and mentoring junior staff. Experience undertaking geotechnical investigations and reporting beneficial but not essential. Experienced project manager who has successfully delivered large Contaminated Land, Remediation or Hydrogeology related projects. Good analytical skills and a good understanding of laboratory testing and interpretation of laboratory results Excellent budgetary, verbal and written communication skills Good business development outlook and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and external bodies Positive and enthusiastic self-starter, with the ability to work autonomously and make decisions when necessary within pressing situations Salary & Benefits: £commensurate with experience Contributory Pension Scheme Continual Professional Development.
