Randstad is looking for Children Support Workers to join an expert team in an award winning service outside Dundee. The service supports children with social, emotional and behavioural issues ages 10-18 with past trauma. You will support children and young people on their journeys from secure services, to residential and then through-care or transitioning back to their families, own tenancy or adult support services.
This is a challenging, but rewarding position that will allow you to witness the development and improvement of the young people on a long-term basis.
Pay Rates
Weekdays - £18.00 per hour (Umbrella)
Weekends - £19.00 per hour (Umbrella)
Waking Night - £25.00 per hour (Umbrella)

A successful residential childcare worker will responsible for:
- Encouraging the physical, emotional and social well-being of the children in the service
- Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with children in the service and acting as a key worker to children
- Utilise positive behaviour techniques
- Coordinating with teachers, social workers and wider care team to monitor and advance the needs of young people
- Maintaining professional manner and working to National Care Standards
- Promoting participation in education and life skills programmes
To be successful in your application, you will:
- Have previous experience working in a care setting with young people
- Experience in a secure setting is beneficial, but not essential
- Have knowledge of cognitive behavioural approaches, attachment theory and child protection policy
- Have experience advocating on behalf of a young person
- Register under the PVG scheme
- Full driving licence
- Obtained SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care, or equivalent
