Are you searching for an opportunity to build a rewarding career in teaching & supporting SEN children? Are you experienced in supporting SEN children? Do you want to work in a friendly, community-driven specialist school? Then YOU are exactly who I am looking for!
A diverse specialist school that caters for students with special educational needs, including Autism (ASD), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), and behavioural difficulties, is looking for a passionate Learning Support Assistant to join their team long-term starting immediately.
Your daily duties will vary from day to day (this is a fast-paced work environment where no two days are the same). However, your general duties as a Learning Support Assistant will include running 1:1 and group sessions with the pupils, in addition to whole class activities. This will provide you with meaningful time with each child to build a positive and trusting relationship. Behaviour management will be required when challenges occur in the classroom, as well as help with personal care.
The school is ideally looking for a Learning Support Assistant who has previous experience working with children. A good understanding of SEN and experience with challenging behaviour would also be beneficial in this role. The most important factors are energy and enthusiasm – the school is seeking a Learning Support Assistant who is bubbly, friendly, and can help encourage the students to have a positive view of school.
