A leading global financial institution is seeking a junior to mid-level regulatory lawyer to join its Markets Legal team. The role sits within an advisory function supporting derivatives and funding businesses, working closely with trading, structuring, and compliance teams.
Key Responsibilities
* Advise on regulatory frameworks impacting derivatives and financing transactions
* Support implementation of regulatory change across documentation and business processes
* Provide guidance on clearing, margin, and reporting obligations
* Review and develop legal documentation, including clearing agreements and terms of business
* Liaise with internal stakeholders across legal, compliance, and front office
* Contribute to internal policies, procedures, and governance frameworks
Experience
* Qualified lawyer with approximately 3-6 years’ experience
* Strong knowledge of derivatives and/or financing products
* Familiarity with key regulatory regimes (e.g. EMIR, MiFID, prudential and US regulatory frameworks)
* Understanding of margin requirements and capital/netting considerations
* Experience with regulatory implementation projects and documentation
