Job Title: Medical Receptionist Responsible to: Senior Administrators / Practice Manager Job Purpose: To ensure that the reception area of the practice runs smoothly, provide a high level of service to all our patients as well as the practice team. Duties & Responsibilities Telephone Duties Making appointments Deal with home visit requests Deal with general enquiries Arranging interpreting services where required Giving out results where appropriate Contacting other providers Reception Administrative Duties Booking appointments Great and direct patients and visitors Deal with general enquiries Respond to needs of our clinical team during surgery hours Register new patients General Duties Support patients with their enquiries General housekeeping (e.g. keeping reception and waiting areas clean and tidy) Maintain confidentiality at all times To participate and continue with personal development To treat all patients, colleagues and visitors with dignity and respect at all times Any other reasonable duties as necessary.
