Due to our continued growth we are now recruiting for a Test Engineer – Vehicle Safety to be based at our customer’s site in Gaydon.
Our Engineering Research and Development department (ER&D) is a fast growing function within Tata Technologies Limited that is assembled to work on exciting projects globally for multiple customers. It comprises highly specialized engineers across Automotive, Aerospace and Industrial Heavy Machinery.
The Role:
We are seeking a hands-on Test Engineer with a strong background in crash testing and vehicle safety. This role involves coordinating test activities, managing parts and logistics, and supporting the execution of vehicle safety tests. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and proficient in using MS tools to support documentation and reporting.
Area of Responsibility
1. Support and execute crash tests and other vehicle safety evaluations.
2. Coordinate test parts, equipment, and logistics to ensure timely and accurate test execution.
3. Assist in setting up and conducting physical tests in accordance with safety standards and protocols.
4. Document test procedures, results, and observations using MS Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
5. Collaborate with engineering and safety teams to ensure test objectives are met.
6. Maintain test equipment and ensure calibration and readiness.
7. Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes and documentation.
Knowledge / Experience
·Background in crash testing and vehicle safety (hands-on experience preferred).
·Proven experience in test execution and coordination.
·Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
·Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
·No formal degree qualification required; relevant experience and technical aptitude are essential.
·Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
