Residential Development Solicitor – Leeds/Newcastle Amazing opportunity to join an international, leading law firm as a Commercial Property Residential Development Solicitor. I’m working with one of the largest and most respected Residential Development teams in the UK, who is now looking to bring a new Lawyer on board in its Leeds or Newcastle office. This team has an outstanding reputation across the Living Sector, acting for a mix of PLC, regional and SME housebuilders, registered providers of affordable housing, land promoters and PRS investors & developers on high-value residential and mixed-use development projects. The opportunity: The team is growing fast, with a strong client base and some impressive panel appointments already secured. As part of this group, you’ll be exposed to some of the best residential development work available – from conditional contracts and transfers, to options, rights of pre-emption, collaboration agreements and development agreements. The focus here is on complex, high-value projects where your input will really matter. You’ll get plenty of client contact from the outset and this is a team that values people who can build relationships and play a part in business development. Whether it’s attending client events, contributing articles, or helping with wider marketing, you’ll be encouraged to get involved and raise both your profile and the team’s. Who this firm is looking for: This is a fantastic chance to join a talented, supportive and ambitious group who will invest heavily in your career development. To be successful, you’ll need: A minimum of 3 years’ PQE as a Solicitor (England & Wales). Solid experience in residential development work, ideally gained with a large regional or city firm. Knowledge of the UK living sector, with expertise in housebuilding and/or strategic land (experience in build-to-rent and affordable housing is desirable but not essential). The ability to manage and grow client relationships. Most importantly, the firm wants someone who genuinely enjoys this area of law and is excited about contributing to some of the UK’s most high-profile residential development projects. The work is fast-paced and challenging, but the team’s collaborative approach and positive culture make it a brilliant place to be. INDCATN
