Join our dedicated and passionate Art & Design Technology Team at The Bulwell Academy.

Job Title: Teacher of Art & Design Technology

Location: Nottingham

Salary: £32, to £51, (MPS1 – UPS3)

Start Date: September

Contract Type: Permanent

Working Pattern: Full-Time (32.5 hours)

About You:

As a Teacher of Art & Design Technology at The Bulwell Academy, you will believe passionately about making a difference to the life of every student and do so with integrity, humility, and relentless positivity. Your expertise will empower learners to develop their skills in a creative and collaborative classroom environment Our ideal candidate would:

1. Be able to teach exciting and exceptional KS3/KS4 Art and Design Technology.

2. Be involved with development and teaching of Art & Design and Technology, with Food at KS3.

3. Create a supportive and stimulating learning environment to enhance Design and Making skills.

4. Contribute significantly to the values and ethos of the Design Faculty.

5. Lead extracurricular activities.

6. Play a lead role in developing our curriculum to aim for the Arts Mark or Design and Technology mark.

Requirements:

To apply for the Teacher of Art & Design Technology opportunity you must hold:

·Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in a relevant field

7. Ability to teach across a range of subjects at KS3.

8. Evidence of continually improving the teaching and learning of their subject specialism through schemes of work and medium-term plans.

9. Vocational or GCSE related teaching or experience in Creative sector Industry

10. Enthusiasm, knowledge, and flexibility to teach and deliver lessons in KS3 subject areas in Design and Technology and Art, such as Textiles, Resistant Materials, Food, or Graphics.

To achieve this, both students and design staff need to be invested in the curriculum they curate and shape, to enable our leaners to achieve much more. We intend to strengthen the purpose of Design education at the Bulwell Academy to enrich pupils Design experience and recognise the importance of this in their everyday lives.
