TA2 with SNA allowance 12 month fixed term
Salary Grade D point 6-11 Actual £9,022 - £9,769 + SNA Allowance
Hours: 15 hours per week Term time + 5 days
The Headteacher and Governors of Pikes Lane Primary School are seeking to appoint a highly effective 1:1 SEN TA for a pupil with additional needs.
The responsibilities include;
To aid the pupil to learn as effectively as possible, both in group situations and on their own by, for example:
Clarifying and explaining instructions
Ensuring the pupil is able to use equipment and materials provided
Motivating and encouraging the pupil(s) as required by providing levels of individual attention, reassurance and help with learning tasks as appropriate to pupils’ needs
Assisting in speech and language and general communication
Liaising with class teacher, SENCO and other professionals about individual learning needs, contributing to the planning and delivery as appropriate
Providing additional nurture to individuals when requested by the class teacher or SENCO
Consistently and effectively implementing agreed behaviour management strategies
Helping to make appropriate resources to support the pupil
Successful candidate will;
Have paid experience working with primary age children
Have excellent interpersonal skills
Be flexible and work well as part of a team
Have some experience of working with children with additional needs
