At Bridgewater Day Care, our day care service provides a friendly, fun, community focused atmosphere for our Clients with support from our well trained team and outside partner agencies. The centre provides respite for family carers, giving the peace of mind that their loved ones are in excellent hands.
Specialising in support for the elderly and those living with a form of memory loss, the service offered allows older people to create new friendships, maintain existing ones, engage in hobbies and activities both past and new, maintain mental stimulation and much more.
Bridgewater Day Care was established in 2014 in response to a growing need for day care services for older people. The purpose of our service is to provide a positive, stimulating environment for older people and those living with a form of Alzheimer's and other forms of Dementia.
Our clients enjoy a welcoming atmosphere with friendly, professional support staff that engage with, stimulate and encourage clients to remain mentally and physically active. The aim of our service is to provide a fun and stimulating environment for our clients and also give respite and support to their carer's and relatives.
Bridgewater Day Care is a privately run day care centre offering high quality care and support for older people in the local community.
We are looking to recruit highly motivated, energetic individuals who are hardworking and keen to support the client's who attend the day centre to get the best out of their time with us each day.
You will support people to improve their mental, physical and emotional wellbeing by assisted them to engage in hobbies past and new, explore their interests, provide entertainment, serve good nutritious food and assist them with any personal care needs they may have during the day.
The support we offer is tailored to each individuals needs and wishes, encouraging independence. You must be willing to embrace all aspects of the role, including the provision of personal care.
ROLE SUMMARY –
* To deliver high quality care at all times to our clients
* Attending to personal care – washing, dressing, bathing, toileting.
* Supporting clients with meals / drinks
* Supporting them to pursue hobbies and interests
* Monitoring healthcare needs, including assisting in the administering of medication and temperature checks
* Understanding each individuals communication needs and communicating with families.
* Maintaining accurate records for each client.
* Conforming to infection control policies
The Day Care Centre operates from Monday to Friday, the hours of work required will be 2 days per week 9.30am-4.30pm. This may increase to cover staff holidays.
You will be required to work in a flexible manner on a rota basis, previous experience is not essential. We are looking for positive, energetic, compassionate and sociable people who can really make a difference to the lives of those we serve.
