In support of SUMS (Software Update Management System), for which all software changes intended for our customer vehicles must follow as part of Regulation UNECE 156. We require a number of additional roles to support optimal delivery of our software packs.

This role is to support the technical validation of our Integrated SUMS Software Packs to ensure core functions are not compromised by the Software changes. Working closely with the SUMS technicians to review the outcomes of the test cases and investigate any issues

What To Expect

In this role, no two tasks are the same. With lots of projects and relationships to build with people across the business and beyond, it’s a challenge that will help your career grow within an iconic organisation. Here’s what to expect:


* Understanding of IVS (In Vehicle Software) EBOM lineages
* Analysing Software Levels on Customer Cars and Internal Fleets (using various data sources such as Tableau / vehicle Snapshots)
* Understanding different calibration files and work out which belong to which vehicle variants to guide the team to use the correct one to use and trouble shoot issues relating to incorrect Software / calibration files being put on cars
* Use of DTC Diagnostic Information (DMD / Part 2 / Diagnostic Data Authoring/ ODX) used in conjunction with the Engineers to quickly understand issues that might log on the vehicles. Be able to distinguish between hard faults and potential software induced faults, help correct issues in the Part number Checkers and feedback issues in vehicle Baseline data
* Knowledge of CCF configuration and rulesets - able to decode and understand vehicle CCF from snapshots

What You’ll Need

Along with your ambition to achieve the exceptional, there are several skills that you’ll need to have to help you succeed here, including:

* Technical expertise and experience of test facility and test part preparation
* Experienced with data acquisition and control systems.
* Data analysis and reporting of test data.
* Natural problem-solver with structured approach to problem solving in a technical environment.
* The ability to validate, prepare and read engineering documents.
* Computer literate, including Microsoft Office competency to produce plans, presentations, graphs, process and Single Point Lesson (SPL) documents.
