Overview
DN Colleges are seeking a dedicated Specialist to join one of our teams within Student Information Services. This Specialist role in Data Returns and Compliance Team supports the Team Leader and collaborates with peers and curriculum areas to manage a wide range of student data-related duties. The remit of Data Returns and Compliance focuses on maintaining data quality and managing returns and compliance tasks across the student life cycle.
Responsibilities
* Maintain and cleanse student data to ensure accurate and complete information.
* Conduct data quality monitoring, including compliance checks with curriculum departments.
* Produce data returns (e.g., ILR, HESES) using tools to test data integrity and manage funding.
* Handle funding and data returns, including ILR, HESES, and PDSATS/FAM reports.
* Audit and compliance: conduct audit monitoring and ensure data quality.
* Lead peer/team training for specific funding streams or activities; develop, review, and maintain processes and procedures to ensure consistent service across teams.
Essential Criteria
* Education: Level 3 or higher in a relevant discipline or equivalent; GCSE in Maths & English at grade C or above. An IT qualification is desirable.
* Experience: Proven experience in a similar role within an educational setting; in-depth working knowledge of using IT tools (e.g., Microsoft Office).
* Skills: Strong administrative and data management skills with attention to detail.
* Knowledge: Practical working knowledge and specialist expertise in one or more student-related streams, including FE, HE, Apprenticeships, and Loans.
* Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to work collaboratively with peers and support the Team Leader.
* Compliance: Understanding of equal opportunities, health and safety requirements, and regulatory compliance.
* Training: Ability to lead training sessions and cascade knowledge effectively.
