Closing Date: 17 May 2026 The Role You will support the University Sport team in the delivery of multi-channel campaigns from planning and coordination to implementation across all areas of the Sport and Active Wellbeing offer. You will liaise with Sport staff to create and deliver a communications plan by coordinating social media channels, designing collateral, providing website support, and supervising student Marketing and Media Interns. You will collaborate with the wider University Marketing teams to increase engagement and reach. Key Accountabilities Work closely with the Sport Communications Coordinator and marketing student intern delivery team to develop, implement and deliver multi-channel marketing objectives from across Sport’s delivery programmes. Create and prepare marketing communication, this includes graphic design, creation of videos, and photography appropriate for digital and print materials. Coordinate social media objectives on channels such as Instagram, YouTube and LinkedIn. Coordinate and administer the Performance Sport live stream delivery, including supervising a team of student Media Interns responsible for the operational delivery of the live stream. Work closely with the students in voluntary Media Officer roles to coordinate communication plans which align to the wider Sport communication schedule. Provide marketing and brand guidance to Sport’s Marketing and Media Interns. Liaise with wider University Marketing teams, including Student Life, Advancement, and Accommodation to ensure Sport marketing campaigns reach a wide audience. Support partnership and commercial objectives by coordinating marketing campaigns which contribute to income generation and diversification. Provide support for marketing insight and intelligence gathering. This could include but is not limited to keeping up to speed with channel development, competitor benchmarking, sharing best practice and trend insight. Provide marketing and communication to support community focused delivery and university wide campaigns through facilitating effective engagement with sporting communities. Contribute to such other relevant duties and activities and keeping up to date with communications developments as may be identified by Line Manager or relevant senior managers of the Sport or University Central Marketing Team. The Person (Essential) Knowledge, Skills and Experience Knowledge of and a strong interest in sport and active wellbeing. Working knowledge of digital marketing channels, social and digital platforms, and related technologies and IT software. Creative flair with a good understanding of the latest social media trends, particularly within sport and higher education. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to adapt to different audiences. Excellent organisation and time management skills. Outstanding team working with the ability to train and supervise others. Demonstrable experience of using initiative to problem solve. Good copywriting skills. Experience of graphic design and content creation, particularly use of Adobe Creative Suite software, Canva and CapCut or equivalent. Qualifications Academic or vocational qualifications equivalent to NVQ 2, GCSE Grades A-C, plus relevant experience in a relevant role.
