About The Role
AI Delivery Leads work in small teams of Tomoro and client engineers to design, build, and deploy AI applications. Delivery teams solve complex technical design challenges, ensuring smooth transitions from development to deployment, and act as a vital link between technical and non‑technical stakeholders. The role involves leading project delivery, mentoring colleagues, and staying updated with AI advancements. Delivery leads are critical in ensuring our AI solutions are reliable, ethically compliant, and rigorously tested.
Responsibilities
* Business Application Design: co‑create cutting‑edge applied AI business solutions with clients and colleagues to realise meaningful value and provide a feasible route to reality.
* Solution Design: support and prototype AI solutions and build engineering teams who can realise designs at scale.
* Delivery Problem‑Solving: solve complex delivery problems that arise during the development and scaling of AI solutions, connect the dots to realise route to live for our clients, and act as the primary translator between engineers and non‑technical stakeholders.
* Delivery Leadership: provide delivery guidance and leadership within the team, including mentoring junior colleagues and contributing to skill development.
* Continuous Learning and Adaptation: stay updated with the latest developments in AI, machine learning, and related technologies and continually enhance the quality of solutions offered.
* Ethical Consideration and Compliance: uphold and actively contribute to ethical standards in AI development, including considerations for data privacy, bias minimization, and regulatory compliance.
* Senior Client Relationships: build robust, trusted relationships with senior business and technical clients and help them become AI leaders in their field.
* Delivery Stewardship across a Portfolio of Projects: work across multiple accounts or projects simultaneously, amplifying impact through effective team leadership.
Qualifications
Ideally a combination of the following capabilities.
* Background in product and delivery management – 4+ years delivering software solutions for enterprise.
* Strong experience leading teams to design and develop production‑grade solutions, including Python application development, building microservices, data technologies, and large language models.
* Strategic thinker and team leader – enjoy managing and leading teams as much as developing solutions, with successful experience in both hands‑on engineering and owning outcomes from inception to completion.
* Standard setter – set high standards of technical excellence and provide guidance, identify areas for improvement and strive toward better coding practices.
* AI translator – comfortable explaining concepts and approaches to senior business leaders and both technical and non‑technical audiences.
* Coach, mentor and educator – history of supporting professional development of engineers and encouraging learning and growth.
* Engineering‑first mindset – recognise that great code drives the role and enable engineers to do their best.
* Innovator and thought leader – stay up to date with latest AI technology, apply new tools to real‑world problems, and contribute to the organisation’s knowledge base.

Location
Hybrid working policy. Depending on the client and project requirements you should remain flexible and willing to travel to client offices up to three days a week.
