Role Summary
The Delivery Director – Data Platforms & Analytics is a senior leadership role responsible for end-to-end delivery and P&L ownership of enterprise-scale data transformation programs. This role leads complex engagements spanning SAP BW modernization, SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC) pilots, SAP Datasphere implementations, and cloud data platform migrations and data analytics, ensuring predictable delivery, financial performance, and high client satisfaction. The Delivery Director acts as a strategic partner to clients, driving delivery excellence, innovation, and long-term value realization.
Key Responsibilities
P&L Ownership & Commercial Leadership
* Own full P&L accountability for the data delivery portfolio, including revenue growth, margin optimization, cost control, and utilization.
* Drive financial performance through strong delivery governance, resource optimization, and risk management.
* Partner with sales and account leadership to shape commercial proposals, delivery models, pricing strategies, and transformation roadmaps.
* Identify and execute account expansion opportunities across SAP analytics, BDC, Datasphere, and cloud data platforms.
Program & Delivery Leadership
* Provide executive oversight for large-scale data transformation programs, including BW modernization, ECC to S/4 data remediation, BDC pilots, and cloud-native data platform builds.
* Lead program mobilization, delivery governance, executive reporting, risk management, and quality assurance.
* Establish and enforce delivery frameworks, best practices, and standards to ensure consistent, high-quality outcomes.
* Manage multi-vendor, multi-shore delivery teams across global programs.
Technology & Architecture Leadership
* Act as senior authority on SAP data and analytics architectures, including BW, BW/4HANA, SAP Datasphere, and SAP BDC.
* Provide strategic direction for cloud data platform migrations and modernization, including AWS, Azure, GCP, Snowflake, Databricks, and Microsoft Fabric.
* Guide architectural decisions related to extraction strategies (ODP, CDS, SLT, BODS), data modeling, governance, security, and performance optimization.
* Drive adoption of automation, accelerators, and modern engineering practices.
Client & Stakeholder Engagement
* Build trusted relationships with CIOs, CDOs, enterprise architects, and business leaders.
* Lead executive steering committees, roadmap discussions, and transformation advisory engagements.
* Serve as the escalation point for complex delivery, commercial, and technical issues.
* Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction, referenceability, and long-term partnerships.
Team & Practice Leadership
* Lead and scale high-performing multi-disciplinary delivery teams.
* Develop leadership talent, mentoring senior architects, delivery managers, and technical leads.
* Shape practice strategy, service offerings, accelerators, and delivery standards.
* Drive continuous improvement, innovation, and capability development.
Required Experience & Skills
* 15+ years of experience in enterprise data platforms, analytics delivery, and transformation leadership.
* Proven track record of P&L ownership and portfolio delivery management.
* Deep expertise in SAP data & analytics platforms, including BW, BW/4HANA, SAP Datasphere, and BDC.
* Strong experience delivering data platform modernization and cloud migration programs.
* Hands-on exposure to cloud data platforms: AWS, Azure, GCP, Snowflake, Databricks, Microsoft Fabric.
* Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and executive communication skills.
* Strong commercial acumen and experience shaping and delivering complex transformation deals.
