Heavy Equipment Sales (Ports/Container Handling)

Location – Northern England

Package – £50,000-£60,000 basic, OTE £80k-£150k uncapped genuinely achievable + Car

Alexander James Recruiting is currently looking for an experienced sales professional to work for a well-established supplier of various specialist commercial vehicle & material handling products to cover and develop their client base across the North of England. With a package to include a competitive salary and unrivalled commission scheme within their sector, this is an excellent opportunity for a highly commercial sales professional who has the ability to sell high value equipment.

Responsibilities

· Managing an existing client base across the north of England

· Business development across these areas in selling a variety of specialist heavy/big trucks, reachstackers container handling & other handling equipment

· Liaise heavily with an internal sales person to provide ongoing customer engagement

· Work heavily with the Managing Director to strategically acquire new customer’s and calculating and achieving high margin’s

· Account manage effectively by ensuring customer’s service requirement are being met adequately by the engineering team

Requirements

Our client is seeking an individual with a strong appreciation of capital equipment products and crucially able to understand the nature of the role in terms of a high value, low volume sales process. You will preferably have experience of selling material handling equipment agriculture, commercial vehicles, heavy plant or similar and are able to demonstrate strong commercial acumen. Our client requires an individual able to work with customer’s over a long period of time and who appreciates the technical aspects of the products they sell as well as the ability to work on their own initiative in a strategic manner. Given the role is in the north of England you will ideally be based anywhere from the East Midlands upwards.

An extremely successful SME who have been operating for many years, our client is a provider of various high value, niche lifting and container handling products that serve the UK market. They have represented various brands over the years within heavy trucks, port and container handling and pride themselves on exceptional service with an excellent team of engineer’s. Due to some recent changes, they now require a sales person to work nationally in the sale of their mobile equipment range.
