Overview
Join to apply for the Mental Health Practitioner role at Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. Coastal CAMHS is looking for a Mental Health Practitioner to join our friendly team. As a Band 6 MHP, you will hold a professional qualification in nursing, social work, occupational therapy, or any other discipline that is registered by a recognised regulatory body. You will work as part of a CAMHS multidisciplinary community team, providing assessment and treatment to children experiencing moderate to severe mental illness. You will contribute to the formulation and care planning for children and families and take the lead for cases that require complex multi-agency involvement.
This post offers the Trust's £2,000 Golden Hello or Relocation Incentive for Band 6 Nurses & Practitioners (pro rata and subject to terms and conditions; please see attached Protocol Document for full details).
This is a key and fast-paced role in a busy community CAMHS team. The post holder will undertake initial assessments for children and young people referred into the service, ensuring safeguarding, risk management and care planning are implemented to the highest standard, and that the service offers effective patient-centred care. You will be expected to hold a diverse caseload of young people with complex emotional needs which requires significant attention to detail particularly around risk management in the community, thus coordinating and working with external agencies such as social care and education. You will have the opportunity to co-facilitate groups and treatment alongside multidisciplinary team colleagues to offer evidence-based care.
At Sussex Partnership we are committed to providing opportunities for flexible working. If you would like to work differently or different hours to as advertised, please get in touch to discuss this in more detail.
