ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking an experienced and inspiring General Manager to lead our Daylesford Organic farmshop in Pimlico. Our Pimlico location offers a curated selection of organic produce, sustainable homeware, and a seasonal café menu crafted from ingredients sourced directly from our Cotswolds farm .

As General Manager, you will oversee all aspects of the store's operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, team leadership, and alignment with Daylesford's commitment to sustainability and quality. Your responsibilities will include team development, sales performance, and maintaining the high standards that define the Daylesford brand. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact in a dynamic retail and hospitality environment.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong retail background, preferably in the fresh good area

SALARY: £60000 - £65000 Depending on experience
HOURS: Full time - 40 hours - Weekend Availability is key

RESPONSIBILITIES

People & Team Leadership

* Act as a role model and build a motivated, happy, and high-performing team.
* Recruit the right people for the right roles.
* Lead team development through coaching, appraisals, and training.

Food & Retail Excellence

* Ensure top-quality café food and fresh produce.
* Maintain full shelves, effective merchandising, and clear POS standards.

Customer Service

* Deliver exceptional service in both café and retail areas.
* Drive efficient, engaging, and knowledgeable customer interactions.

Commercial Performance

* Manage rotas to meet wage cost targets.
* Optimize stock ordering to minimize waste and ensure availability.
* Motivate the team to meet spend per head and transaction targets.
* Track and manage stock to reduce variances.

Store Operations

* Ensure a safe, compliant, and audit-ready store environment.
* Oversee opening/closing procedures and daily banking.
* Complete timely people-related administration and processes.

Sustainability & Purpose

* improvements, contributing to our journey as a B Corp, and aligning with our sustainability vision.
* Inspire and empower our customers, suppliers, and partners to live and work more consciously, creating a lasting positive impact on the world.
