Overview
Ingfield Manor School is a non-maintained special school and part of Salutem Care and Education who have services across England and Wales supporting adults and children in residential and educational environments. Based in its own grounds, Ingfield Manor School offers specialist facilities including woodland and outdoor classroom space, a high specification sensory room and swimming pool. The aim is to provide an safe, stimulating environment that enables children and young people to flourish and grow. Our IMS provision caters for students aged 3–19 years with neurological motor impairment such as Cerebral Palsy and associated medical and sensory needs. Following the Conductive Education approach, the school focuses on the holistic development of everyone, including physical and communication skills.
About the Role
Join Our Team: Teaching Assistant (Term Time Only)
Reporting to: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
Hours: 40 hours per week, Term Time Only (39 weeks)
Salary: £21,783 - £21,943 per annum (£12.21 - £12.30 per hour) (FTE: £25,397 - £25,584, dependent on experience)
Responsibilities
* Support the class teacher in delivering high-quality education.
* Provide tailored support to students individually or in small groups.
* Help organise classroom resources and displays to suit diverse learning needs.
* Assist with planning and risk assessments for on- and off-site activities.
* Create effective teaching aids and resources.
* Support students in developing independence skills, including personal care.
* Promote students’ physical, educational, and moral development.
* Contribute to student documentation and school development initiatives.
* Participate in staff training and development programmes.
