12 month secondment opportunity (maternity cover) to operationally lead and deliver the Voice service to outpatients (adults and children) with clinical voice disorders.
This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced Band 6 SLT with relevant skills to develop a leadership portfolio. Candidates with experience working with upper airways conditions (e.g., chronic cough, laryngeal hypersensitivity, inducible laryngeal obstruction, and Long COVID) and underpinning knowledge of neurology are encouraged to apply.
The well-established model of an 'ENT SLT' service at ELHT offers potential for the successful applicant to contribute clinically to Head & Neck and FEES services, depending on competencies and experience.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide clinical leadership and service development within Clinical Voice Disorders and ENT.
2. Deliver clinical services to adults and children with acquired voice, communication, and swallowing problems.
3. Utilize evidence-based, highly specialist skills for expert assessments and interventions for complex cases.
4. Support teaching, training, and mentoring junior staff as required.
5. Engage actively with the wider ENT multidisciplinary team.
