The House Project brings a fresh and energetic approach to providing top quality services for young people. Our role is to build sustainable homes with young people leaving care and create a solution focused, trauma responsive and restorative project.
Offering a new and exciting opportunity to develop a collaborative model where our support workers and young people leaving care work together to find a house, manage their personal development, create a place to call home, and achieve successful interdependence towards adulthood.

About the Role:
We are recruiting for the role of House Project Support Worker in our Homes for Children Service covering Countywide (permanent).
Grade H - Point 14-17 - (£30,060 - £32,654)
House Project Support Workers build supporting, trusting relationships with young people they work with. The Staff Team deliver weekly group work session and young people complete the National House Project Programme. This programme is delivered to provide the skills knowledge and experiences to prepare them to move into their own homes. House Project Support Workers continue to work 1:1, challenge and advocate for young people as they move towards adulthood and the Care Leaving services. The House Project continues its support for young people over 18yrs with drop-in sessions and alumni activities.

Key Requirements:
* To provide advice and support including practical help to prepare young people for successful independent living and a sustainable housing solution.
* To contribute to the assessment of young people’s needs and make suggestions about their future.
* To liaise with the responsible authority and develop constructive professional relationships with a range of relevant services
* To keep an accurate written record of involvement with the young person and contact with other agencies.
* To advocate for a young person’s views but balance this with their best interests.
