Your Role:
The Alpaca Crypto team is a 100% distributed and remote team. This role will report directly to the Global Director of Crypto Operations.
Things You Get To Do:
* Primary responsibility for the daily monitoring and surveillance of all customer activity
* Primary responsibility for daily operational tasks including trading, new accounts, and cash management functions;
o Cryptocurrency trading executions and exceptions (errors, corrections, etc.)
o Assist with customer onboarding, including KYC and account approval
o Review of general ledger accounts, identify and reconcile account discrepancies
* Support the Anti-Money Laundering Program and investigations that result from suspected suspicious activity
* Proactively drive impactful changes across workflows, policies and tools
* Clearly communicate with internal and external partners in an effective, tactical, and insightful manner
* Ad hoc duties and projects as assigned
* Global remote location, core time around 9am to 5pm PT (working hours: 8 hours per day, holidays follow the US market holidays)
Who You Are (Must-Haves):
* Excited about what Alpaca is building!!
* 3+ years of relevant experience in a broker-dealer, financial services, trading or cryptocurrency operations role
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
* Familiarity with cryptocurrency, or strong desire to learn
* Work effectively and supportively within a team environment as well as work independently
* Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
* Must possess the ability to adapt to a rapidly changing business and regulatory environment
* Enjoys challenges and taking ownership of new responsibilities
* Inspired by Alpaca's mission and enthusiastic about supporting our customer base and growing the platform
