Shift Manager

As a result of our expansion plans, and our continued ongoing success we are seeking a dynamic Shift Manager to be based at our Head Office in Plymouth.
About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced team leader to oversee warehouse and e-commerce operations, ensuring efficient order fulfilment and consistent delivery of customer and departmental targets. You will manage, coach, and develop a team, driving performance through effective planning, communication, and leadership.
Responsibilities:
1. Plan, coordinate, supervise, and report on teamwork activities to ensure operational efficiency.
2. Provide effective leadership, communication, motivation, and ongoing training and development to team members.
3. Drive cost reduction initiatives and ensure effective workforce planning is maintained at all times.
4. Manage the fulfilment of customer orders, ensuring all departmental targets and customer service commitments are consistently met.
5. Ensure full compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) within e-commerce operations.
6. Handle disciplinary and grievance matters in line with company HR policies.
7. Oversee four satellite operations in collaboration with other shift managers, with primary responsibility for Avonmouth and Stowmarket sites.
Person Specification:
8. Proven experience in people management within a warehouse or supply chain environment (essential).
9. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
10. Good IT proficiency, including Microsoft Office, Excel, and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
11. Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to supervise, organise, and train direct reports.
