We're now looking for a Senior Financial Planning & Reporting Manager to join our Finance & Technology Directorate. Reporting to the Head of Financial Planning & Reporting, you'll lead a small team and oversee all aspects of the Central Management Accounting function, and the delivery of high‑quality financial reporting, modelling and analysis that drives decision‑making across the organisation.
This role operates at both a strategic and operational level, building strong relationships and contributing as part of the Directorate's management team.
What will I do as a Senior Financial Planning & Reporting Manager?
1. Lead the organisation‑wide annual budget process and regular forecasting cycles.
2. Deliver consolidated management accounts and month‑end reporting.
3. Develop and maintain forward‑looking financial models.
4. Prepare insightful reporting for the Board of Trustees, Committees and Executive Leadership.
5. Draw on your understanding of technology to drive improvements and efficiencies in financial processes and reporting
6. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations and internal controls.
7. Act as deputy for the Head of Financial Planning & Reporting when required.
What skills do I need to be a Senior Financial Planning & Reporting Manager?
8. You must be a qualified accountant (CCAB or equivalent).
9. Significant experience in management accounting, budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling.
10. Strong analytical skills and the ability to turn data into meaningful insight.
11. Attention to detail, organisational ability and resilience under pressure.
12. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including an ability to listen to and influence a wide range of stakeholders.
13. Strong IT literacy, including experience with accounting systems and analytical tools.
14. Experience managing, motivating and developing team members.
