The Role:
As an SEN Cover Supervisor, you will:
1. Deliver pre-prepared lessons across various subjects in the absence of the classroom teacher
2. Support students with a range of SEN needs, including autism, ADHD, and SEMH
3. Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school's policy
4. Work closely with SENCOs, teaching assistants, and pastoral staff to ensure students receive tailored support
5. Build positive relationships with students and help maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment
Ideal Candidate:
6. Previous experience working in a school or SEN setting (preferred but not essential)
7. Confident managing behaviour and leading a classroom
8. Strong interpersonal and communication skills
9. Calm, empathetic, and resilient in challenging situations
10. A genuine passion for working with young people
11. A good standard of literacy and numeracy
12. Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
