We are seeking a Civil Engineer to join our multi-disciplinary construction consultancy.
The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of Civil Engineering experience working within the UK, including the ability to produce Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategy Reports.
You must have knowledge of civil engineering design, earthworks, roadworks, and drainage design.
Typical projects including civil engineering design for residential schemes, industrial, and commercial builds. Projects are predominantly in the North East of England, although we do have some nationwide clients which are further afield.
We are looking for an enthusiastic engineer who can hit the ground running, and in time, run their own projects, and be open to gaining their Chartership and progressing the career ladder within our firm.

Requirements & Attributes:
* 4 years of working experience
* HNC as a minimum
* Good verbal and written communication
* Have a keen eye for drawing presentation
* A working understanding of industry standard civil engineering software, such as MicroDrainage, Causeway Flow, Causeway PDS, Causeway Live Design, AutoCAD, Civils 3D
* Self-motivated with the ability to use own initiative where required
* Knowledge of UK planning procedures and relevant design codes, such as Water UK Sewerage Sector Guidance, Manual for Streets, Design Manual for Roads and Bridges, Local Authority Design Guidance, and preparation of technical drawings for submission to the authorities
* An interest in working towards Chartership
* A full UK driving licence
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
* Writing of Flood Risk Assessment & Drainage Strategy Reports
* Design of roads and sewers
* Setting/design of all site levels, including FFLs, identifying retaining wall requirements, earthworks batters etc
* Design of Plot Drainage
* Production of high-quality and well-presented Technical Drawings
* Liaison with highways/water authorities and LLFAs to ensure compliant designs for inclusion into Sectional Agreements such as S38 and S104 and discharge of planning conditions.
* Attending project meetings
* Engaging with clients, sub-consultants, and other relevant stakeholders
* Proactively managing a portfolio of projects and working in collaboration with other design disciplines both in-house and externally.
