What you’ll do
* Ensure timely, accurate payments and HMRC reporting with proper controls, confirming all tasks are completed and team engagement remains high.
* Oversee escalation and resolution of complex issues, ensuring proper logging, root cause analysis, and continual improvement.
* Support colleagues by sharing knowledge and training on processes, ensuring process documentation, change control, and regular skills matrix reviews.
* Oversee and develop the team to deliver business objectives, ensuring progress is documented and policies are followed.
* Embed Conduct Risk in daily operations, ensuring processes and controls consistently deliver good customer outcomes.
What you’ll bring
* Knowledge of the Payroll and Pensions industry.
* Proven ability to prioritise and manage queries whilst considering team performance and activities.
* Ability to analyse and interpret financial processes.
* Proven ability to build relationships and influence effectively in complex environments.
* Proactive team player with strong people‑management skills, skilled in troubleshooting and issue resolution.

Base pay range: This range is provided by Robert Walters. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.
