This role provides an opportunity to deliver a high quality service in maintaining a clean, tidy and attractive borough as part of a unified street scene service. This role will involve litter picking, sweeping, emptying bins, clearing graffiti, dog waste and deceased animals. Hours of work will be: 7.30 am to 4.00 pm Monday to Thursday and 7.30 am to 3.30 pm on Fridays About You The ideal candidate will have: - • Experience working in a street cleansing role in a public service environment, including high profile areas. • A pleasant and courteous manner as the post involves contact with the public • Be able to work on their own or as part of a team to carry out daily maintenance of public areas, prioritise work and be proactive in carrying out duties • Be willing to learn and develop new skills and take part in all aspects of the work carried out by the Operations Team • Be able to keep accurate, neat and legible records of work undertaken, and report to Supervisors. The post holder will be required to be able to work in all weathers, wear a uniform, and to be prepared to work occasional weekend and Bank Holidays if required for which overtime is payable.
